Katharina

The team leader

Katharina is the hostess, an expert in giving tips, and the strong woman of the hotel. She is the third generation in the family business, taking over the hotel from her parents and grandparents. Since then, she has been involved with great creativity and joy. She has been helping out in the business since she was young, standing in the kitchen with aunt Margareth at the age of 10, lending a hand. After studying hotel management, completing internships abroad, and embarking on several journeys, Katharina has settled in Tiers and also has a hand in village life. She is creative, embraces change, has an eye for beautiful things and always has a good idea.

Alex is a true artist and creates culinary delights for our guests and ourselves day in and day out! He loves South Tyrolean cuisine and brings a fresh interpretation to traditional dishes! But judge by yourself...

Grandma & housekeeper

Our gold piece! Katharina's mother helps out wherever she is needed! Breakfast and the garden, in particular, are her territory. Edeltraud, the senior boss of the house, can usually be found at breakfast every day. She has been in Tiers for over 35 years and has dedicated many years of full commitment and passion to running and shaping the hotel into what it is today. Her great passion lies in flowers and decoration, adding a personal charm to our establishment. If she's not to be found in paradise, she's probably out and about with her grandsons!

Always there if needed

Eronita has been part of our housekeeping team for several years now. You can always count on her: she’s thorough, conscientious, and never hesitates to jump in wherever help is needed - a true power woman! Even in emergencies, she’s always there to lend a hand wherever she can.

Margareth

Diligent hands

Aunt Margareth is the heart and soul of our establishment. For many years, she rocked our hotel kitchen and provided guests with delightful moments. Now she has passed on the kitchen scepter and can mostly be found in the laundry room. The mountains of daily laundry don't faze her. However, she still enjoys preparing some delicacies for our guests, like the exquisite mountain butter at the breakfast buffet, the delicious breakfast cakes and the mouthwatering apple strudel at our bar following our grandmother's recipe.

He is Rasel’s little, tall brother and has already worked some seasons in Tires. After an interlude in Firenze, he is back again, and we are very pleased that he is with us. He is our chef’s right hand man. Together they create our culinary delights every day.

The cowgirl

Ruth has been with us since some years. Mainly, she helps with breakfast, but she is also our jolly in emergencies and so you will also meet her sometimes in the evening. Ruth is always ready when we need her and always in a good mood. Her passion are animals, she is a horse-whisperer and above all a dog whisperer. But she is also pretty good with people. Her family and her dogs re Ruth’s everything. If you spot a woman wearing a cowboy-hat in the village when it is raining, that’s our ruth.

Rasel

Our Jollyboy

Paradise goes international. Hailing from Bangladesh, Rasel brings a lot of enthusiasm to the Paradise team. He is responsible for sparkling clean plates, cutlery, and pots in the kitchen. But he also helps Maria and Eronita in the rooms or Grandma Edeltraud at breakfast. He is our "tuttofare" and helps where there is a need.

Alex

Alex takes care of all the technical matters and the marketing of the hotel throughout the year, such as pool technology, our website, heating systems, and graphic design.
Furthermore, there's always something broken in a house like ours, or there's a loose connection, or something of the sort... When he's not around, he can be found in a ski resort somewhere in the world, pursuing his great passion! He is actually the FIS Race Director for the Para Snowboard competitions.

Daniel

The coffee-master

Daniel is a true professional who keeps everything under control while always bringing warmth and positivity to the people around him. He loves connecting with guests and always has a kind word to share. His greatest passion is coffee. Pssst! Daniel roasts his own coffee right here in the village and also offers coffee workshops. And when he’s not with us or roasting coffee, he’s spending time with his family. In the evenings, you’ll find him at the bar keeping you company - so make sure to stop by!

Maria

The conversationalist

Maidfee with heart and soul… Maria always has an open ear and some kind words for our guests! She is part of our staff for many many years and witnessed almost every rebuilding and renovation of the hotel - and those were a lot in the past years. She got to know many guests by person and a lot of them know her! You don’t always see her, but if you are lucky to meet her, she always has a kind word for our guests.

With heart, a smile, and humour, Roswitha brings zest to our service staff. There’s no such thing as impossible. Last year, she was a familiar face at Paradies every single day. This year, she supports us just once or twice a week. That makes every day we get to spend with her even more special. Dear Roswitha, your calm nature, kindness, and unique personality are a true gift to us and to our guests.

Our hotel has its roots in the First World War. At that time, two families from Tiers built a shop and an inn. A steelworker from Milan later bought both, brought them together and opened “Paradiso”, a hotel that served as a refuge in the mountains for his employees. In 1962, Alfred Pircher bought the hotel, expanded it, and ran it with his family. Today, granddaughter Katharina runs the hotel.
